Finding The Lilac Grove HWRC

Here’s how you’ll find the site, approaching from a number of directions…
From the West
Approaching the town of Beeston from the direction of the M1 along the A52 Brian Clough Way, turn right at the roundabout onto Woodside Road, signposted University of Nottingham as you approach the roundabout in the right hand lane.
Continue along Woodside Road, going straight ahead at the roundabout at the entrance to the University, signed Melton and Grantham.
Fork to the right at the traffic lights after exiting the roundabout, onto the A6005 Queens Road East, and look out for the signage for the Household Waste and Recycling Centre indicating a left turn. The junction is a slight left at the traffic lights onto Beacon Road.
Follow the road around a left hand bend, and it will become Humber Road South. You’ll go over a bridge, then reach a roundabout where you’ll need the third exit. Leave the roundabout slowly, as there’s a pedestrian crossing and the entrance to the HWRC is immediately after that on the left.
From the East
To approach from Nottingham, use the A52 out of the city, then follow the instructions above in the ‘From The West’ section when you reach the roundabout with Woodside Road.
Just before you reach that roundabout, you’ll see a children’s playground on your left, and Miller and Carter Steakhouse on your right. Approach the junction in the left hand lane, and take the first exit signed ‘Uni. of Nott’m’ before using the rest of the route in the previous section.
