What Are The North Yorkshire Tips And Opening Times?

North Yorkshire Council offer twenty tips, also known as Household Waste Recycling Centres (or HWRCs for short) for residents to use across the county. These have been combined from the seven former council areas of Craven, Hambleton, Harrogate, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough and Selby.

Each of the tips offer points to drop off waste for disposal for recycling where possible, to maximise the re-use and recycling of waste and keep to a minimum what heads to landfill.

As you can see in the table above, all sites operate a similar timetable, and it’s worth noting that they remain closed on a Wednesday.

In addition, all HWRCs close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Other than those exceptions, tips across North Yorkshire are open on the remaining bank holidays.
